Pada tanggal 16 Februari, Oricon mengeluarkan laporan yang merangkum  tren penjualan dari karya musik software dengan artis Korea, yang memiliki pasar yang tumbuh di Jepang. Pada tahun 2011, penjualan keseluruhan pasar music software (termasuk single, album, DVD musik dan Blu-ray disc musik) turun untuk 5 tahun berturut-turut, tetapi pendapatan dari musik software yang dirilis oleh artis Korea di Jepang terlihat ada peningkatan yang dramatis. Total pendapatan dengan rekor tertinggi 24.47 miliar yen.

Total revenues were a record high of 24.47 billion yen.

A total of 10 singles and albums from artists such as Tohoshinki, Big Bang, Shoujo Jidai, KARA, Jang Geunsuk, T-ara and 2NE1 won first place in the weekly (Oricon chart) rankings, 5 more than the original record in 2008, since the album rankings began being released in 1970.
